Good day, my name is Kgwadi Kgamane from Working on Fire. Education for Sustainable Development empowers educators and learners with the knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes necessary to address interconnected global challenges and create a more just and environmentally sound future for all.

ESD, or Education for Sustainable Development, is a learning process that equips individuals with the knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes needed to make informed decisions and take responsible actions for environmental integrity, economic viability, and a just society.

Education for Sustainable Development is about educating our society with the aim of transformation and creating more sustainable communities – it is about educating communities/everyone to take action in order to have a better tomorrow with reduced natural disasters. It is all about promoting environment and sustainability in our South African Curriculum, for our younger generations to take action in protecting the environment.
