Healthy Living: Imifino Greens

Throughout this course, we will explore wild greens as a significant topic to examine. We will investigate how the subject of “imifino” can serve as an initial step for active learning within our classroom environment, promoting more informed and sustainable lifestyles. This short course follows the structure of the four-quadrant model, enabling us to engage in tuning-in, discovering, problem-solving, and taking action regarding important topics.

Course Objectives:
  • Define the importance of wild greens as part of our Indigenous Knowledge.
  • Explore way to introduce wild greens and circular economy real-life matters of concern.
  • Develop practical skills – Growing and harvesting greens.
  • Understand the concept “real-world stories for learning through story-sharing”.
