Unit 3: Imifino greens

This week we will be looking at wild greensĀ  as a matter of concern and investigate how the topic “imifino” can be a starting point for action learning within our classroom setting towards more informative sustainable lifesyles. The lesson is structured in according to the four-quadrant model that allows us to tune-in, find-out, work-out and take-action around matters of concern.

Unit Objectives:
  • Define the importance of wild greens as part of our Indigenous Knowledge.
  • Explore way to introduce wild greens and circular economy real-life matters of concern.
  • Develop practical skills – Growing and harvesting greens.
  • Understand the concept “real-world stories for learning through story-sharing”.
