Unit 1: Izala Composting

This lesson looks at composting as a ‘matter of concern’ and investigates how a focus on “Izala Composting” can be a starting point for action learning. The lesson is structured in according to a four-quadrant task sequencing model that allows us to tune-in (Q1), find-out (Q2), work-out (Q3) and take-action (Q4) around matters of concern.

Unit Objectives:
  • Define Circular Economy.
  • Explore way to introduce composting as a real-life matter of concern.
  • Develop practical skills – making a composter.
  • Understand the concept “matters of concern”.
